The indoor unit has an evaporator coil that is meant to remove heat from indoor air, while the outdoor unit has a condenser coil that releases the captured heat outside. These coils are essential for a properly functioning A/C system, which is why it’s so important to keep them clean.

If A/C coils aren’t uncleaned often enough, the dirt and debris will build up, causing more wear on your system. This, in turn, can shorten the lifespan of your air conditioner, leading to the need for mold or repairs sometimes a complete replacement.
